The official pictures of Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding have been released

The official pictures of Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding have been released

In what was a romantic, fairytale wedding, yesterday Princess Eugenie, Princess of York, married her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle. The couple looked beamingly happy and Kensington Palace has just released the official photos from the royal wedding.

Four official photos were released; including a beautiful black and white shot of the couple in their royal wedding carriage and two with members of the royal family and the bridal party of page boys and flower girls, including Prince George (sporting his usual, trademark cheeky grin!) and bridemaid Princess Charlotte and the princess’ family; sister Beatrice, mother Sarah Ferguson, and father Andrew, the Duke and Duchess of York.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to release four official photographs from their Wedding day. The images were taken by photographer Alex Bramall at Windsor Castle and later in the day at the private dinner at Royal Lodge,” the photo caption read. “The newly married couple are pictured in the White Drawing Room, Windsor Castle with their bridal party including The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh,” reads one caption.

The couple are said to be “delighted” to share the images.

The photographs were taken by British fashion photographer, Alex Bramall, whose editorial work has featured in the likes of Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, and Grazia.

The shots included one of the couple prior to attending their private dinner at Windsor Lodge after the ceremony, including the Princess in a beautifully elegant, silk Zac Posen gown (onlookers had thought she didn’t change into a second formal gown as is in keeping with royal tradition until the photos) with her new husband in a navy suit.

Princess Eugenie, currently ninth in line to the throne,  once again made a unique statement with her fashion choice for the evening event; preferring a gown with colour as opposed to a similarly traditional white second outfit as both Kate Middleton and Meghan Marke opted for. Posen was reportedly inspired by the beauty of Windsor, the surrounding countryside and the “blush of an English rose,” according to Buckingham Palace.

Theirs was an undoubtedly more understated affair (as royal weddings go) than Prince Harry’s nuptials to Meghan Markle only a few months ago, but generally, the couple seemed overjoyed to wed; this was a couple who looked beautiful, relaxed and very much in love – there was a genuine connection between them, which didn’t go unnoticed by viewers or onlookers.

The wedding was watched on an extended episode of UTV’s This Morning by an average of three million people (giving the channel its best ratings for the timeslot since William and Kate’s marriage in 2011), and was attended by many celebrities and a total of 850 guests, including Robbie Williams (whose daughter Theodora was one of the flower girls), Demi Moore and Cara Delevigne.
