If your style is a bit boyish, you’ll love this drop of masculine-inspired pieces

If your style is a bit boyish, you’ll love this drop of masculine-inspired pieces

Are you tired shopping the sales? Me too. There’s only so much rummaging I can do before I begin to feel my head, back and feet ache and everything around me starts to look like tat rather than trophies. New stock is what I’ve got my eye on now, especially those pieces with a boyish hit off them as I love to balance masculine and feminine within one silhouette. Here are five key masculine-inspired buys I’m investing in before they’re gone.

I love the masculine cut of this Massimo Dutti coat. I also love the fact that it’s made from 100% eco-friendly Lyocell. I never buy coats with a belt because I hate how they crush whatever I’m wearing underneath, but his coat would work over anything.

My wardrobe is well populated with oversized sweaters, but I still want more. I love this Aran style knit from & Other Stories. The extra deep V-neck makes it a great piece for layering.

This boiler suit looks like the comfiest thing in the world to throw on, but it’s one of the coolest two. It’s made from washed organic cotton as it’s part of H&M’s hugely successful Conscious range. The belt is detachable so it can be worn with a looser fit, making it perfect for weekend wear whatever the season.

I’ve seen this shirt in store and it’s ten times more beautiful than it looks here. It’s made of pure silk so feels divine and the colours appear much richer in reality. Shirts and blouses are very dominant for AW19, so this piece will serve you well. The pretty print and boyish button-front style make a great contrast.

A khaki jacket is a great staple, and if you buy one that’s reasonably lightweight and can be layered in winter, it’ll work for every season. I love this denim version by House of Holland. It’s nicely utilitarian, but the belted waist gives it a more feminine vibe.
